Would in the next 2-3 months be too optimistic:?

Depends on when I get the blu-ray version. I have the DVD on order to get the script done. Then it all hinges on my translator and his schedule.

Hi, it's been quite a long time since the last update (also the last post under Space Battleship Yamato's forum). Wonder how things going?

The next volume won't be released until December 21st. So sometime in January for episodes 19-22.

Hey there Hebi, Merry Christmas &/or happy holidays! Any update on the translation script? (Or if you've recieved the BD!)

My translator says he's half way done translating Vol 6. No idea how long the second half will take.

That's great to hear! If episode 20 is still untranslated I can offer to send images of episode 20's script (It was included in the cinema limited edition BD for chapter 6 I bought)

Would that be something Hiro would be interested in?

He's half way, which means he's done with 20.

Ah that makes sense! I just thought maybe he started off with the less dialogue heavy episodes like--- oh wait I just realised how dumb that sounds considering there was a lot in all 4 episodes this time around.

I want to wish you and your team a happy new year nonetheless! Take good care of yourselves and good luck~

Once I have the translation in my hands I'll start working on it. I always keep people informed as to what stage I'm on.

No, I have someone translating it. Once they send me the script I can start working on it. I will keep everyone informed as to what is going on. I do not foresee it being ready next week. My translator has real life commitments and must see to them first. He is definitely more than half way done.

Timeline usually goes like this
I get translation
I time the show(i.e. wave time in AegiSub)
I edit the script
We watch the episodes and correct errors
I have one of my editors go over the script again(sometimes before we watch as a group).
Once I have all the possible edits/corrections we watch it one more time.
I upload the show after final corrections made
